The Trifid Nebula (M20) is a stunning star-forming region about 5,000 light-years away in the Sagittarius constellation. It features a combination of emission, reflection, and dark nebulae, with striking dark lanes dividing its glowing gas clouds.

However, in my astrophotography, the image lacked blue tones because I forgot to remove the narrowband filter. Narrowband filters, such as Hα, OIII, and SII, selectively transmit specific wavelengths while blocking others. Since these filters are designed to enhance contrast and structure in nebulae, they often suppress broadband light, including blue wavelengths. If an Hα filter was in place, it primarily allowed red light through while blocking blue reflection nebula components, leading to the missing blue hues in the final image.
